The oldest distillery in Ireland is Old Bushmills and it is located in the village of Bushmills in County Antrim. In 1608 King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips, landowner and govenor of Co. Antrim, a license to distill.In 2008, celebratig 400 years, the Bank of Ireland put the Old Bushmills Distrillery o its new bank notes. Who says that money can't buy happiness. They make the finest and most distinctive pure malt whiskey.
