I sketched many old cultural Umbrian designs in the beautiful hill town of Orvieto in Umbria, Italy. Orvieto is one of my favorite hill towns built on a tall hill: it actually looks like the old walled city is hanging over a cliff when you drive by on the highway far below coming north from Rome. This painting depicts the design of a typical bird sitting in a pomegranate tree. P.S. the tasty dry white wine, vino seco y blanco, "Orvieto Classico" can be found in the U.S...Salute!
